Round 20, Hour 20. I like the symmetry! We're approaching half-way and we've established that far too many of us have a preference in Elvish languages. This is my last hour today before I pass you off into the capable hands of [livejournal.com profile] dbskyler! Your challenge for this hour: use the passive voice construction for a sentence in your reply to this post.

The delightful sound of Strunk and White turning over in the graves brought smiles to the faces of innumerable tormented writers.

An ingenious scheme for hooking them up to a turbine and generating power presented itself to a MacGyver fic writer.

ETA: Unfortunately, that same writer's failure to distinguish between the living fic writers and the deceased writers of grammar texts doomed the scheme to confusion and failure.

MacGyver should be able to defeat the bad guys through the use of grammar. I'll have to think up the details for that one, but it has got to happen.

*chokes with laughter*

Right at this moment, I'm reviewing my MacGyver novel Reverb, getting it onto the AO3 platform. That's the one that uses grammatical terms as chapter titles, and makes a heavy play on the fact that 'macgyver' became a verb.

YAAAAAY!

Man. You gave me once the link to your MacGyver FF.Net stories, and then I forgot to read them. But this sounds like a must!!!

*goes looking for it*

If you look on the home page of LOLMac, on the right-hand side, there's a list of links to the main works.

But, um, Reverb is a full-length novel -- dearly as I would love to have you read it (and any of my writing), you might want to wait until after Fic Rush!

Yeah, probably. :)

(It's probably wisest to wait until I finish my PhD proposal, but that might take too long of a while :| )

Moderation! After 'rush, but not after proposal completion. Clearly you shall need some frivolity and pastime whilst you work on your proposal. MacGyver is a fine source of frivolity and pastime. *attempts to look wise*

Also, English plurals are definitely ridiculous. No doubt of it.

Your themed chapter titles are awesomeness.

(I'm quite certain there's something in one of my stories that was directly influenced by the interlude titles in... the art one... but as I'm so tired I can't even think of any of the names involved, I had better go to bed before I start putting the wrong names to things, which is the next step downwards. Good afternoon! *g*)

The art one is Aftershocks. The interludes were 'gesture studies'.

See you After Nap!
