Ages ago, when I was training for the National Spelling Bee, I got to cope with that one -- and also pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

Greek and Latin roots are fine by me. I can even handle Welsh. I am hopeless with German (which is officially exempted from discussions of Longest Words, because in German you can always assemble an even longer one).

I can't spell Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch without looking it up, but I can pronounce it adequately.

"What's the best thing you can do to improve your productivity?" he asked a room full of mostly uninterested people who wanted to be elsewhere.

Excellent approach. I had to do that with an entire chapter last month. If I hadn't jumped ahead, I don't think I'd've written anything at all in weeks.
