Killing off an email before I get bogged down in revisions. I am officially going to have to start calling the novella the novel. It's going to be way over novella length. The household is asleep except for me, and I have chocolate. This is good.

OMG. I just hit backspace and it had the whole document selected somehow, not a word, and 1/6th of the novel went *POOF*.

Fortunately the application apparently has a trash can all of its own so I recovered it, but that was a terrifying thirty seconds.

(Oh, also, of course, it's all backed up to at least last month. Note to self: back up tonight.)

The heart attack was a close-run thing. What do you mean, there's no "undo" for that?!?!

I'm back, thinking about dinner, and thinking about sticking a DVD in the player for research (need to get character voices in my head). I should stop thinking and actually do something . . . : )

I wrote the first scene for one of my stories, was happy with it, jumped to the end to edit what I've written of the last scene, and then got depressed.

So I'm going to go take a shower and then start back on the new writing bit, since that actually went pretty well.
