I think our penguins are on strike. Or maybe they have a hang-over. Something about being hit by a large gold brick with a slice of lemon wrapped around it last night. How about our writers? Striking, striking out, or striking a pose?

I did open the fic I'm writing for a friend's birthday (on Tuesday) earlier - and re-read it, but after an exhausting week at work, and a mere 2.5 hours sleep last night (gee, THANKS, torrential rain storm, I love ya to bits!), I am not in any fit state to write. (This comment has had to be edited for typos, even!)

Oh man. Not getting enough sleep is the perpetual condition of the writer, but 2.5 hours is just too little to be going on with! Nap time?

Alas, unless I'm actually sick, I am congenitally incapable of sleeping during the day. :(

ETA: Fortunately I have tomorrow off, and I'm hoping to sleep tonight, so fingers crossed I can get the birthday fic finished in time.

I am trying to work out which stories are going to be my definite 4-7 DW fic recs for calufrax. (Usually by this point I have about 12, but I'm keeping to 8. It's just traumatic - which of these great stories gets the boot? :-D)
