Round 75, Hour 14
May. 21st, 2016 09:04 amThe round I am singing this hour of the round is "A Yawning Round":
'Tis humdrum, 'tis mum-mum, what, nobody speak?
Here's one looks very wise, and another nods his eyes, then stretches, yawns and sighs,
Heigh, ho, hum.
Feel free to join in. Or tell me what splendid things you are doing this hour! Especially if they're round.
Round 75, Hour 9
May. 21st, 2016 10:00 amRound 75, Hour 15
May. 21st, 2016 10:00 amThe round for this hour is "Fie, Nay Prithee, John":
Fie, nay prithee, John, do not quarrel, man, let's be merry and drink anew.
You're a rogue! You cheated me! I'll prove before this company! I caren't a farthing, sir, for all you are so stout!
Sir, you lie! I scorn your word, or any man who wears a sword! For all your huff, who gives a damn? And who cares for you!
(Lines 2 and 3 fight, Line 1 tries to calm them down; but since the parts rotate, you end up quarreling with each of the other two singers in turn, then trying to calm them down, then getting pissed off and fighting again. When I originally learned this one, it took us ages to get it down, because we kept breaking up in howls of laughter.)
Are you fighting with your words this hour? Are you winning? Do you need some ale to calm things down?
Round 75, Hour 10
May. 21st, 2016 11:00 amRound 75, Hour 15
May. 21st, 2016 11:00 amHey, ho, to the greenwood now let us go, sing hey and ho
And there shall we find both buck and doe, sing hey and ho
The hart, the hind, and the pretty little doe, sing hey and ho
I am not, alas, about to go to the greenwood. I wish I were! But I am going to lunch and a movie. Lunch will include green things. I hope the movie will not include any wooden acting.
Does your writing flourish, yeah, like unto the greenwood? Are you hunting the words? Or possibly hunting the snark? Hopefully you are not hunting snipe.
Round 75, hour 11
May. 21st, 2016 11:02 amHow has your hour been? Surely it has been better than mine, where I managed to oversleep and then made my tea wrong and nearly tripped over the dog. *sigh* Well things can only go up can't they?
Round 75, Hour 17
May. 21st, 2016 11:31 amHappy Diamond Anniversary, Fic_Rush! It's so weird to me that we've had this many rounds already, and I wasn't even here for all of them!
How've you been? What's happening in your corner of the galaxy? Any words??
Speaking of rounds, here's one of my favorites we did in my Music History I class: (pretty sure it's about goat farts iirc)

The round of the hour: "Will I" from RENT
Will I lose my dignity?
Will someone care?
Will I wake tomorrow from this nightmare?

Round 75, Hour 25
May. 21st, 2016 07:01 pmEnjoy the rest of your Fic_Rush weekend! I'll be lurking here and there. Beyond the looking glass and behind the fading smile...

Round 75, Hour 20
May. 21st, 2016 08:29 pmI've had a lovely almost-fandommy day going to see a Georgian house with Age of Sail people, but words about it will probably have to wait until Monday. How about the rest of you?
