How goes your Saturday? I have some writing projects to plan - and write of course! I've been doing much more planning than writing lately, and I would love to turn that around today.

Well, I admit, I started planning again instead of writing. It's relaxing to draw mind maps - luring out the plot with a few circles and lines.

Or maybe I'm just avoiding starting a new story, because as we all know, beginnings are hard. Like the endings. Or the bits in the middle. And don't even get me started on the titles! o.O

It's the lovely, and even, hour number ten!

I have managed to open the empty word document, which feels something of an accomplishment. Now all I need is some word to scatter about all that empty space, paint a word-picture if you will. I'm thinking something with... woods, and maybe some wild flowers (blue, purple?), with golden sunlight. How's that?

It's the spring equinox after all! Let's have a spring feel to this story... And some characters! Those are good to have around, frolicking in the woods. Holding hands and... pickering? Kissing? Singing? Something like that.

The beginning of a story has shaped up already! Well done Fic Rush, you are a great help! :D

Saturday, Caturday, new-born Spring arise
Little purple bunnies in the grass
The trees have already forgotten winter

The first sign of spring for some is the appearance of robins. My favourite is when the ground ivy begins to bloom, with tiny purple flowers that look like bunny rabbits peeping out of green dandilions. They spread like a carpet where the sunlight falls all day.

What is your favourite sign that winter has surrendered?

Words are springing up like daisies around here! And the daisies are not far behind. I know cold days are not completely behind, but the deep cold, the biting icy winds are likely over for this area. In two months I'll be wishing for frosty mornings!

Fresh coffee for everyone, and the scones will be out of the oven in a jiffy...
