I'm back, finally. Though I don't know how long I'll be able to stay I've got a couple things I need to take care of in RL.

But I managed 1,250 words last hour. So there is progress at least.

I also have skateboarding ninja pandas (they got emulsified with the penguins, apparently - good gosh my brain is gone, "emulsified" indeed *g*) and sentient jellyfish. And a stuffed grey mastodon with Gandalf-esque eyebrows and tiny!Three's cape, representing my Inner Editor.

ODO IS AN EMU. And sometimes emo. But not armed. I can't remember whether his security clearance is high enough to access the armory - I think Quark's might be.

...I have opened my story. And printed off one of the good scenes, and found another one that wants expanded into a flashback. Now to do anything about all that! ;-)

Pandas? Penguins, emus, Time Chickens and flamingos aren't good enough; now you want to add pandas? And sentient jellyfish? Are these alien sentient jellyfish? Evil alien sentient jellyfish? With skateboards?

Hey, lolmac asked me to bring the pandas! *passing buck* ;-)

I'm not sure if they're alien sentient jellyfish. They belong to Charamei on Dwth - I was having trouble with my female characters, and Charamei suggested "squid" as a suitable gender-neutral pronoun to go on with. There was a plot bunny about a sentient jellyfish growing bonsai algae in her tiny apartment as her only escape from the recession that's dooming Atlantis. I adopted them as a mascot against Other People's Normalcy creeping in.

(The pandas - skateboarding ninja pandas in pink tutus, actually - are my manowrimo muses. I keep them around as prophylactics against angst. It's a mangled reference from the NaNo founder's book "No Plot? No Problem!")

Hey, I have a toy lamb named Lamby (who looks oddly like my high school religion teacher)... but I was about one year old when I named it*. ;-)

*I never quite decided Lamby's gender.
