so because of reasons I want the first chapter to imply only one time-traveling character, which means the second scene still has to be decade-before-canon Viktor in Detroit with months-before-canon Yuuri. and while it doesn't have to be Phichit PoV when he walks in on them in the locker room while Yuuri's locker is open to his poster of Viktor from late in the season that this Viktor was just preparing for, that's also the only thing I can think of that lets me have Viktor state his temporarily assumed name without either (a) detailing either his or Yuuri's thoughts when he says it or (2) letting anyone except these two and Phichit in on the fact that teenage Viktor is a decade later than he should be or (C) skipping to after he's stated it and the readers will figure out what it is from Yuuri's narration. (or, I suppose, (Δ) creating an OC whose entire job is to be the rink receptionist and not recognize teen Viktor.) and I have a fairly solid idea of how the Phichit PoV scene ought to go, too.
the problem is the scenes I want to write right now all involve the other time travelers, and if I write any of those now, either whichever scene I write becomes the second scene of chapter 1 or I then still have to write at least one more scene before I post chapter 1.
