Try getting your characters to argue while you sit on the side and take notes. That often works for me! It helps if I start with a note about what the start and end points are supposed to be (i.e., will A convince B, will B insult A, will B slug A and stalk off, etc.)

Thanks! I'm trying that out! It's still not going awesome, but at least I'm not getting hung up going "nnooo that's not right *DELETE*" anymore! :) Can always fix on the edit, as long as I get the idea down. Thanks!! This is working! :D

Hi peoples! I have finally made it to a fic_rush again. :D

I have no idea what I'll wind up writing - I've got a list of about two dozen WIPs in various stages of completion, but as I've also got my iPod, the 'rush, and a party!chat with friends in another window to distract me, I may well keep up my habit of never finishing anything during a 'rush. ;-)
