I haven't really decided which of my projects to work on, but with two fests and eight Big Bangs I have plenty to choose from.

I'm going to try for 25,000 words this weekend, but we'll just have to see.

People keep saying that, but I'm not sure why. I write a heck of a lot slower than most people I do word sprints with. They can write something like 650-1,000 words in 15 minutes.

You're probably better at sustained writing than most people. I can do maybe 400 words in 15 minutes...but only for 15 minutes. Most of my writing time is actually sitting there thinking what to put next.

You should teach me how to not do that.

From what I've seen, many people who write insanely fast seem to produce about the same amount of usable output as people who write more slowly -- and they have to edit much harder to find the part that's worth keeping.

I know exactly what I need to work on. I need to write the ending to one of my two stories that's hung up on the sex scene. I'd thought about skipping ahead to the ending, but now it's a challenge that ends today (write the ending to a WIP) for another community.

It's good to have a focus!

Oof. Cocktails, dinner and television are over and I'm still not feeling like I have it together enough to write. This weekend got complicated. My life is writing fodder!

So. Maybe time to kick out another couple thousand words of basically plotless smut. That got me off to a good start last month. I have a feeling like I'm getting to know a character. Let's see who she wants to do now.

Hi all! All I've written this hour is a thank you for a job interview that went through about 50 million drafts. :p

My goal for the weekend is to finish that elephant fic and the drunk!Doctor fic that I've been on about for the last twenty of these. Maybe this time I'll actually make some headway...
