Round 118 - Hour 12

Lots of you are tired beyond the telling and some of you are just up for the day. Personally I’m procrastinating with cross stitch and laundry folding while waiting for a parcel to arrive. (I just know the minute I get going with writing the doorbell will go and I’ll lose the thread.)

Back from second vaccine shot, I will lie down a bit (because of the ridiculous heat today) and get writing in a hour or two owo)9

Hooray for being vaccinated! (I got my 2nd shot on Tuesday!) Hope you have a nice nap and that the weather has cooled to a more pleasant temperature by the time you wake up!

Oooh, what are you cross stitching? I enjoy doing that myself although at present knitting has taken over.

I'm making a little bookmark kit - it came with a magazine - that is appropriately tea-cup shaped. I'm generally more of a knitting person - cos I can knit and talk or knit and watch TV - but I prefer cross-stitching in Summer as my hands get too warm otherwise! What are you knitting at the moment?

I have that problem too in hot weather, but this summer is being wet and chilly so the knitting continues. At present I'm knitting another sweater for myself, the third this year. It's turquoise in a lacy diamond pattern. I have SO MUCH yarn I'm trying to use some of it up.

Thanks! It's a nice straight forward stitch so I'm making good progress on it which is always fun - assembling it might be harder! :S

Ooooh that sounds lovely! I've definitely been knitting more over the last year, normally I'm a sweater a winter person and last year I made three and a waistcoat...I've got a patchwork throw pattern on the go in an attempt to do some stash busting. Nice big 12 inch squares so hopefully not too much sewing up!

That's always helpful with cross stitch. I can't bear fractional stitches, my eyes can't follow the charts and I get confused.

Woohoo! That's really great work. Do you have pictures? (I love seeing what other people have made). I still haven't photographed the last sweater I finished, although I did post pics on the community of the previous two.

Wheee! Looking forward to having a new member. People drop in and out, but more are always welcome and all crafting is encouraged!

I'm off to continue working on my first sweater sleeve now. It might warm my hands up. So ridiculously cold for July!
