dear brain, either let me actually write or let me go to sleep. I don't even care which right now. my body will have opinions on the choice when it isn't twenty of four in the morning, but that is a problem for Future Alex.

Four in the morning is never a good time in my experience, regardless of which direction it’s approached from. Hopefully your brain will allow you to sleep so things can percolate and things will make more sense to both of you afterwards!
