I have successfully added some words and research and now my computer is complaining its had a long day. So time to change location and take a small break for me. What about you?
currently flitting frantically between two devices answering work emails and taking article notes, trying to figure out why my laptop only has a maximum battery life of an hour
In all honestly I usually at this point turn everything off, go get a cup of tea/whatever and then start it up again in 20 mins. It's usually forgiven me by then...
Been doing battle with my knitting. I messed up yesterday so I had to undo a bunch of rows and re-do them before adding some more. I still haven't finished the sleeve *sigh*
I'll get there in the end. And then there's another sleeve to do... I'm working from two patterns because IU liked the stitch used on one but it would have been too big for me, so there's a certain amount of improvisation going on.
in which rearranging the scene to break physicists' suspension of disbelief less results in some fascinating characterization notes, again
because Gabriel concluded in "Startrain" that he could not affect an akuma he sent because it was too far away, when the akuma was on a train heading from Paris to London that hadn't yet hit the English Channel. so whatever he thinks his range is in that episode, it's under 150 km. he is however the only available party capable of detaching the sentimonster jetpack from Astro Chat once Astro Chat himself passes out. if I spread the impulse required to get Chat from zero to escape velocity over sixty seconds of jetpack, then Astro Chat is at least 336 km from Paris when he crosses that threshold, which is to say, distinctly farther than Startrain was. but if Gabriel lets the sentimonster jetpack keep running away with Astro Chat, he knows he'll lose his chance at getting Chat's magic jewelry. something he cares about. where with Startrain, it was merely a few hundred people including his own son that Gabriel was endangering. naturally his range was far smaller then.
(the scenario that was more suspension-of-disbelief-breaking was, spread that impulse over seven seconds. 163 g instead of 19. 14 is reportedly survivable without loss of consciousness if the Blue Angel pilot in question knows what they're doing (Wiki has a citation needed flag up, though), and that's with no magic suits involved, so with loss of consciousness, 19 g puts a lot less strain on the magic suits.)
