currently trying to figure out how these two characters gonna kiss. I'm aiming for very "V-J Day in Times Square", except 100% consensual both in the kissing and the photography. also, because my PoV character and their sweetheart are fully aware of the cameras and the kiss is a ploy of my PoV character's to get the cameras off their best friends slash team leaders, kinda performative? but like, playing up the emotional intensity, not making up the emotional intensity. with a side of, got to keep some attention free, because otherwise another threat they overlooked will jump them while they're distracted, and therefore they can't actually go for the full overwhelming holy-shit-we-survived passionate kissing that they definitely would if the situation allowed.

I've written these two kissing exactly once, I think, and that was way more hurried and also right before they had to split up in the middle of the tense dangerous situation (part 1) that this kiss is holy shit they survived.
