I had to do lots of grown-up-stuff, ugh. And now I'm tired again, but I see icons in my immediate future and an anchor in the not so distant future, so I guess I have to soldier on ^.^

okay but if Adrien is a trans guy and nobody knows he's a guy (except when he's Chat Noir, when he's assumed to be a cis guy), and assuming the canonical configuration of the love square, then is it necessarily true that Marinette already knows she's bi? because what she definitely knows is she's already head over heels for [Adrien's deadname]. which means she and most of her classmates might well think she's a lesbian. which is definitely something Juleka (known lesbian) would have mentioned to her brother at some point! and Luka as of end of S3 is canonically willing to step back to let Marinette be happy with Adrien, if that's the direction Marinette and Adrien want to go, and if not, he's already told Marinette he's attracted to her. which is not necessarily something he'd have said outright if his sister had ever told him anything suggesting Marinette isn't into guys.

so I could play this bit as a one-two punch of sorts, Ladybug first realizing Chat Noir would be a really attractive woman if he didn't look so uncomfortable in his own skin, then realizing he's perfectly comfortable in his own skin ordinarily and plenty attractive then too, she's just been ignoring that really loudly because she understood herself to be a lesbian.

except then I can't make the "bi awakening 2: caffeine rush" joke. for that I need her to already have acknowledged she's attracted to at least one gender that isn't the one she understands Alya, Kagami, and [Adrien's deadname] are. where a Marinette who knew all along she's attracted to boys, mostly Adrien, her bi awakening is either Kagami or, earlier and likelier, Alya. so that joke would work fine if going the cis boy Adrien route.
