I have never been to Cyprus.

I did, however, just type up 145 words of TNG/Legend crossover fic I wrote the other day. And it still appears to be readable, which is always good.

(Then I switched to "research" aka finishing my disc of Middleman because I was having trouble with Q's voice. It's complicated.)

Writing original fic is awesome - more awesome would be revising the original fic from ...Nov 2008... that desperately needs to be DONE!

Hello, I am Sid, and I'm going to try to pick up where I left off five months ago on a Stargate SG-1 Jack/Daniel fic. I actually have had this on my to-do list ever since hearing the song that inspired the fic while washing dishes yesterday.

My glowstick is purple, my Cosmo is pink, here be penguins (except that they're sleeping right now, so save the link until it's daytime in Scotland!)

Have not been to Cyprus, but if you're offering a free road/plane trip, I'm willing to come along and carry your luggage.

So far I've taken my kids to get their hair cut, made a pot of tea and eaten leftover doughnut holes. There seems to be a strange lacking of writing in those accomplishments, which causes much sadface. On the good side, I've located my last rough draft for a WIP under my bed!

Fell asleep while doing hand-edits on the printed out one, no doubt... of course part of the problem is having a Leaning Tower of Reading forever stacked alongside so odd bits tend to fall off and slide away into the Deep.

That sounds mysterious and promising, like you might put your hand out and find a full-grown novel had been bred and grown up down there. It would be a strange novel though.

Which reminds me of the one where Three was going to take knitting lessons from Madame Nostradamus... I know I typed that up after the last time I found it floating around, I just have to figure out where. *scrounges*

Whoa, does that take me back . . . waaay back when I first got into DW fandom (in 1983, if you must know), my fandom persona was Madame Nostradamus. I still have the three-legged scarf I knit as part of my costume.

Which reminds me, I never did find out what you mean by that. What's a three-legged scarf look like?

Well, it's a Doctor Who scarf, as in the Fourth Doctor, revised from the Official Pattern (for the first three seasons, which was generally available at the time). It has a normal scarf body, plus a third end, which starts not quite halfway down and branches out laterally, to a third set of tassels. When I wear it, I place the 'fork' at the back of my neck and wrap one of the ends, the longest, around my nexk. I end up with three ends hanging down, looking just close enough to normal that it usually causes delayed double-takes, which is fun.

The rest of the costume consisted of a long black dress, a black velvet turban, and an black velvet overgarment with lots and lots of pockets on the inside, where I carried knitting needles, yarn, patterns, scissors, jelly babies, etc. I knitted a couple of Moebius scarves as well, just to maintain the cosmic balance.

I have some old pictures of the costume somewhere; I should try to find them and get them scanned . . .

No spaceship required, although I did have to fly through Amsterdam. Not that that was a huge hardship, as I like Amsterdam.
