Finally, food has arrived by some kind of miracle. It might be Time Lord related. Writing is a solitary craft, best practiced with someone else around to make sure nutritional things appear with some amount of regularity.

So I am on a break from writing to nom for a few minutes.

Ugh, I need to write strategy for two simultaneously occurring action scenes. Which means I need to apply my brain to strategy. Ugh jeez time for some more procrastinatin' in the hopes that a genius plan of action will come to me.

That's the kind of writing problem that usually has me breaking out the Scrabble tiles. (Seriously. They're a great tool.)

I was about to play "what has it got in its pocketses" with my boys... I do have scrabble tiles*. Do you just see what words pop out?

*Oddly enough, not for the purpose of scrabble. They make great decoupage pendants for literate people.

I like Beth's method with the Scrabble tiles. Were you here when she explained that? Basically, you pull out a bag of Scrabble tiles and set them up like "okay, here are M and X fighting, and L and F are fighting over here. Now the guerrilla resistance force - G for guerrillas - is sneaking up on this side of things, and I need to get F over here before the evil invasion force - E for evil empire - shows up so that he can do that reaction scene. And I have three other characters I can use to manipulate events, so..."

Oh! I see! Yes, I think that could be very helpful. Occasionally I doodle things for tactical planning, but it's pretty sketchy.
