Round 108, Hour 13

 How has the last hour been for everyone? There was talk of errands, and translating, and some concerning incursions of chaos into the proceedings. I’ve got a to-do list and I’ve managed to get one thing done from it, even if it wasn’t the thing I started the hour intending to do! How do you all feel about lists?

I’ve managed 777 words in the last hour, which is a unexpectedly satisfying number. I’m doing one of those ‘give me topics to blog about’ memes over on my journal, and I’m also hoping to get through a bunch of requests over there this weekend. 1 done another 3 to go! On the other hand, I totally forgot about my tea and now it’s cold so...swings and roundabouts...

Well, I got a little further but had to research a lot stuff I never heard before. Special types of tires and whatnot, ugh. Tbh, I'm not a big fan of the style I'm dealing with, but at least I enjoy the story =)

I'm probably going to take a lunch break in a bit, but before that, I really want to add another page or so.

PS: I LOVE lists! My friends joke that if I spent half as much time on actual work as I usually spend on making various, often unnecessary lists, my workload of a full week would be done in three days … They may have a point, lol

Urgh specialist vocabulary is the worst, I did have to make a few enquiries about coronavirus related terminology yesterday and caused some colleagues to have a heated debate around how to correctly translate ‘soundscape’ - my suggestion was accepted though, victory! Lists are the best! Though, yes they do form their own kind of procrastination! Mostly though I find them helpful for keeping the brain weasels at bay, I can wave a list at the little voice that says ‘nothing achieved’ and counter ‘lots of things done’.

I've managed to write 4 drabbles, so now I'm off to do some work in the garden while the sun shines. I'll write more later... I hope!
