Right then, so how's the writing going? I finally managed to get my yarn untangled so at least I have that going for me, any troublesome knots in your writing? (on second thought don't answer that)
I will bend myself sideways, backwards, and upside down to find ways many things about Miraculous Ladybug canon make sense, even though at first glance they do not.
oh I know it's because they have a shoestring animation budget
I explain the Hawkmoth illusion in "Volpina", that LB & CN recognized at once though they hadn't seen any more of Hawkmoth himself by then than the huge butterflies head in Origins, as an artistic impression probably with a strong resemblance to the real Hawkmoth. Recognizable because obviously a Miraculous wielder, purple armor, face very similar to the shape of the huge butterflies head. Not actually a true-to-life depiction. Similarly, the wax statue of Hawkmoth that got animated in "Puppeteer 2"? Much closer to true-to-life, since that artist had Prime Queen's footage from Heroes' Day to work with, but (bc that footage was distinctly red-tinted) using the wrong shade of purple, giving him a white helmet instead of silver, and probably making him close to Gabriel Agreste's height and build bc trying to figure out Hawkmoth's height from the footage kept coming up with like whatever 6'10" is in metric, which is obviously ludicrous, this math must be off. (In "Reflekdoll" when Hawkmoth detransforms, he loses a whole head of height.) The show uses the unaltered Hawkmoth model to animate both episodes bc they have more plot-relevant things to do with the animators' work hours.
This is still really blatantly not how knitting works! And surely it would not have been that difficult or time-consuming to add a triangle in there so there wasn't a visible gap between project and needles, and to arrange Marinette's hands so her fingers weren't wrapping entirely around the needles?

But not this thing.
