I hear strange tales of Hour 5 agents rolling around in the fic, much staring at word documents and the eating of breakfast...has anyone written any words? *eyes own word count sadly*
Oh, the whole thing is nearly 28,000 words, so it doesn't need any more - those were just the final sections. Now I am editing the whole thing. Definitely no more words needed.
Well, last night I wrote 620 words of scribbled world-building for my pseudo-Yuletide piece. I might possibly even have solved a problem or two.
(Then I woke up in the middle of the night, wrote a completely useless bit of pseudo-scholarly nattering about spelling bees, and when I had woken up a bit more wrote an even less useful piece of pretentious moaning about how annoying it is when I finally start getting words and then they won't stop and let me get some sleep!)
So, yeah. Total since the beginning of fic_rush: about 1600 words, I think. Total useful stuff: who knows?
I haven't kept a running total of how many words I've written since the start of fic_rush - though if I add together today's mini_nanowrimo word count and yesterday's, I guess I'll have the answer!

Date: 2010-11-21 08:01 pm (UTC)I read a funding application (zzzzz) and wrote a letter of support, which was hardly exciting but I'm gonna take those 148 words...

Date: 2010-11-21 07:12 pm (UTC)However, I'll bring my word count I accidentally made yesterday:
One section of 847 words, and one of 307 words. But how much will prove to be workable, who knows?

The bit about how useful they are is irrelevant. You worry about that bit later, after you've written some more words, anyway. ;-)
