I need an adjective that is neither "subsidiary" nor "imitation" nor any other damn thing I've thought of so far, in order to describe the half dozen Stonehearts in Miraculous Ladybug Origins 2 that are not the original one, who is otherwise Ivan. Once I find that adjective, I will be down to fourteen scenes that have placeholders.
simulation, clone, copy, surrogate, replacement, descendant, replacement, protégé, substitute, successor... oh right these are all nouns, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I mean if I checked the dictionary I bet I'd find most of those as adjectives as well, and also in "computer monitor" both words are nouns and yet
…problem is those all—and also minion, duplicate, replica, auxiliary, and doppelganger—so thoroughly don't work that I think I'm on the wrong track entirely
but I gotta distinguish these eight from that one somehow and I cannot think what else does distinguish them except that that one is the original model!
you could always just make a neologism or circumlocution to point out how difficult the situation is to describe, like not-Ivans, or the-other-ones, or something like that (or more convoluted)?
