I'm trying to start drafting this novel that I've been researching and playing around with for a while. I'm not even close to finished with research, let alone worldbuilding or outlining. So it's a struggle. But I also know that if I don't at least get started with the actual writing I'll lose my motivation and creative energy for the project. I think I'll have to do some kind of hybrid of plotting and pantsing but I'm really flying blind. So, um, yeah. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

...yeah, sounds kind of scary, but I hope you have fun with that! Discovering things as you type them can be a good time.

I have now done almost half of the thing (my last translation task for this week).

Yeah, I've definitely already discovered a couple of cool little details in the process of writing and it's at the least helping me get a better grasp on my protagonist. Starting is always the hardest, now that I'm a little bit into it it feels marginally easier.
