I'm doing some archiving on AO3 and debating lunch. What are you archiving, debating, or writing?

finally figured out how to make the timeline as established by the first chapter of a fic I wrote several episodes ago cohere with the timeline as established by the showrunner's assurance that for S3, production code order is chronological order

to wit: neither of Our Heroes made one mistake in the chronologically earliest of the episodes that aired after the one the said chapter was written and is set directly after, which means the most recently aired episode I watched didn't play out as in canon either. other than those two, all the episodes with earlier production codes happened as in canon. so did two of the later ones, specifically the two that aired earlier that I referred to in the chapter; the rest of the later ones have not. which means chapter three, probably, will involve the AU effects hitting the next episode in production code order.

also I cleared NaNoWriMo par for day, uh, one.

Ooof, I feel for you there (though I'm glad you've got it figured out!), I have a fandom where I've spent about a decade piecing together a timeline so fractured that even the creators just handwaved off the last years of it with 'some time passed, we don't know either'. *sigh*

My archiving is my NaNo project (unofficial) and I'm decently behind. But the weekend is young!

part of the problem with timelining this show is the first season is explicitly supposed to be watchable in any order

(the second season is even more obviously there is a chronological order here, it's just we don't know what

the other part of the problem is third-season episodes have been airing as they're completed, not in any order that makes the least amount of sense

Oh yikes, I don't know how I'd even deal with that aside from just, like, roll some dice and make my own order. ^^;; (and probably curse a lot)
