This time I checked! Yay, temporal mysteries! I'm writing with my coauthor, haven't counted words but we're making good progress. How about y'all?

My laptop lives!

…My power cord does not live? This is not the power cord I put in the laptop bag when taking the laptop to the computer doctor, which may be part of the problem…

Well, we had to go back to the computer doctor in order to get any power cord at all. (I suspect they thought they'd borrowed one from inventory, because I never did get around to removing their sticker.) This was okay because nobody remembered to bring the dead printer ink cartridges on the first trip until we were actually there, and they can't recycle stuff they don't have physical possession of. Except for how I do not, in fact, currently seem to have a working power cord!
