I just noticed that about 20 minutes ago, gmail decided replies from here are spam and stopped updating my inbox with them. So if I don't reply to something, that's why.
I think it caught on after I clicked the "not spam" button for four emails. There should be a whitelist feature somewhere that I could put LJ on, but I've never bothered looking before.
I feel so accomplished. 1000 more words or so. Most of them would probably be lost as soon as I get to editing, but it still feels like an accomplishment, especially as previous to this week, I've had the same 2500 words since March or so.
My goal for this hour is to stay up another 15 minutes, see the gmail Tea House theme ghosts of 3:14, and go to sleep :)
1) Get 200 words or more written for a gigantic fic that has been a WIP for so long it doesn't bear thinking about.
2) Outline another fic, presumably shorter (although I don't know, because the more I think about it the more I find myself thinking, "but what would he say?" "why would he do that?" "what reason can there be for..." etc). I have a feeling it could be a long long one too, if the muse takes me there - which it just might.
I hope the first one's more realistic than what I set last weekend. "Oh, I have a long break, let me add a few thousand words to my fic!". At the end of the weekend, how many words have I got? 72. Or something like that. *facepalm*
The second one is turning out to be a plot bunny that won't let go. I may have an easier time with it....
This is a side-community for fic_rush, where we post our hourly posts during rounds. If you've wandered in here by accident, you'll want to go there instead.
If you're with fic_rush and have just shown up, look for most recent hourly post.

Most of us have at least one ancient WIP like that.

Date: 2010-11-20 01:52 am (UTC)You're probably right about the plot bunny. Fic that won't let you go is a lot easier to finish than fic you feel you ought to work on.
