I came in from gardening, sat down, and had an hour of cross stitching and a snack. I'm done in, but I won't let those blasted roots beat me. I'll be back at 'em again tomorrow, assuming I can actually move after today.
My garden is very overgrown at present, the blackberry brambles and ivy have taken over and getting the bramble roots and rampant honeysuckle out is like being in a tug of war. So far I think the roots are winning...
I've sown some old seeds in a cleared area, hoping at least a few come up.
Thank you. I can barely move now, those roots are tough, it's like being in a tug of war, but I have two more days of good weather before we have rain so I need to get as much done as I can.
I got some words down but have hit a wall. I'm gonna go partake in the day's traditional events, which will hopefully jumpstart some inspiration to write.
I'm currently working on this quarter's posts for Book Riot. Three of them I signed up for, so at least I have a starting point versus having to begin from scratch. I began with the one that had no actual topic (I wrote down "TBD" on the sign-up sheet, LMAO) and now not only do I have a topic, I researched the titles I want to include on the list!
On to researching Signed Up Post #2! (I already have a topic.)
For the rest of the hour I'm going to catch up on replying to the (not very many) comments on my AO3 fics (seriously, brain, how long does it take to type ''Thank you for reading - I'm gold you enjoyed it', and why do you procrastinate so much?).
Then I'm going to order some food from my local diner as a reward.
Mine was a procrastination on writing. I had a task on my plate for my women's hockey team (determine a list of tasks we need to do to have the season run smoothly), which I put up in a Google sheets doc.
That said, I do have my WIP-o-Doom open, and I did look at it earlier. Between doing some weeding in the garden, keeping an eye on my kitty when she was exploring outside, playing some online card games and then going briefly to the grocery store.
This is a side-community for fic_rush, where we post our hourly posts during rounds. If you've wandered in here by accident, you'll want to go there instead.
If you're with fic_rush and have just shown up, look for most recent hourly post.
