Round 94, Hour -6

I am awake! And I have gone through my phone contacts (which inexplicably duplicated themselves when I switched phones several months ago) and deleted out all the duplicates. Sometimes you just have to sit down and do the thing.

What sorts of things are you all doing this hour?

I hate it when that happens.

Right now, I'm waiting for any sign of help regarding the elevator (nothing so far and I'm not keeping my hopes up) and wondering what the commute home will be like since they just issued a tornado watch.

Oh, goodness. It sounds like you're having quite a day. :S Have a glowstick? And possibly we can get the ninja penguins to help carry the fuel tank up the four flights of stairs for you, that sounds exhausting.

(I think I'm the last fic_rusher left from the olden days - I've been here since Round 4 - and sometimes I worry that my attempts to keep the old in-jokes alive are just incomprehensible and perplexing, but... glowsticks. ;P)

Haha, I may not understand the reference but I'm a fan of glowsticks. :D

The idea is that one sets off the glowstick and then writes for as long as it glows. All the glowsticks I've ever seen tended to glow for several hours, so I'm not sure I'd have that kind of writing stamina (I'm very much a sprinter), but that's the theory. Plus glowsticks are just fun.

I have absolutely no memory of where the ninja penguins came from, although I think they may have been associated with alien fish. And possibly evil giraffes. We had quite the menagerie back in the day. XD
