In case we have any newbies: hourly posts like this one are for meeting up around the start of an hour and talking about how it's going. You can encourage each other, horribly derail each other's trains of thought, be jealous of each other's word counts, etc.. In your first hour, you might also want to introduce yourself and your fic/goals for the weekend.

Yay for plotty time-travel paradox stuff!

The glowstick sounds cool, too. I'm not sure what it's for, but it sounds cool. Do you crack it and write for as long as the glow lasts?

Pretty much. I stole the idea from a NaNoWriMo thread. Now I have something to do with this mass of glowsticks I found on clearance. (There are many things I can resist buying, but few of them glow in the dark.)

I'm hoping that if I only use a glowstick when I am actually writing -- not losing time to research, "research", or excessive planning -- then eventually the association will stick. Then whenever I crack open a glowstick, it will make me write. Plus this is a good fic to be writing in the dark. :)

Ooh, I really like the glowstick idea. Kind of like an hourglass, but less anxiety-producing and more fun.
