I couldn't help but notice I seem to be to blame for the donkey(s), the carrot(s), the teapot, and the poisoned confetti, so I may fail at words this weekend, but I win at distracting fic-rush nonsense... ;-D
I am all out of persiflage, and all I have left is a smidge of flapdoodle.
So far this weekend I have a few hundred words of saccharine smut disposed of (and off to its final resting place with the person who wanted it), around 4,000 words of the Mac/Due South cross-over, 1800 or so of which happened today, about 4,000 words worth of original fic but not the one I really, really, really need to revise, and about 2,500 of this Burn Notice/Justified cross-over, all today, at least three of which were in the last hour.
The Mac/DS story is still resolutely not getting finished but it's so much further along so I'm happy with that. The Burn Notice/Justified will get finished. I hope.
I have decided, in revising chapter 15, that it really does need to 'twin' -- it's over 8000 words in real wordage (as opposed to the inflated ff.net counters). I'll make the change when I post the epilogue, which will undoubtedly confuse the hell out of my poor long-suffering readers: Chapter 15 will become Chapters 15 and 16, and the epilogue will be 17. But at least there will be New Words to read.
The revision is your fault, BTW. Your feedback prompted it. *g*
It's been a recurring event in this story, but the results have been good, so I'm not complaining by any means. They're somewhere between amoebas and bunnies, I think.
I wrote a bit of One and finally figured out how to grab Ian by the scruff and give him an action moment, he's been just hanging around with Barbara too much so far, letting Vicki do all the work.
Also throttled an OC with a stick. Does that count as being productive?
I've not written very much, but fic_rush has been the means of getting me to stop prevaricating and finally edit and post the end of not only an 80,000 word fic, but it was also the end of a series.
I am light-headed with relief. I won't have time to write again properly for days now, so there is no point starting anything. I will distract people here, and then go to bed. :-)
Good luck with everyone seeing it through to the end - have fun!

Date: 2010-09-26 08:24 pm (UTC)Yep, definitely. Besides, you can never have too much of Ian hanging around with Barbara (cf. The Romans).
