I was trying to make a carrot cake for the first time ever, and it ended it a wrestling match between me and the batter. It's in the oven now, but I don't think I won.

I'm 12k into this fic and now beginning to think about overall structure and character arcs. :/ Possibly should have done this much earlier! Oh, well. Time to outline what I have, I think.

honestly I'm impressed you made it that far just going with the flow. I would have needed my water wingies before I even started lol

The thing is, I have the structure plot-wise but what I'm worried about is the emotional structure, if that makes sense. I think I'm struggling with the introspection in each chapter, with what is the emotional focus, and wondering if they're too same-y. I think if I do a separate outline with, like, "chapter 1: this happens, this is what they're thinking" then it will be helpful.
