Round 85, Hour 12

I'm honestly not sure I've ever been around for Hour 12 before, this is...I feel like that episode of SpongeBob where they're on the night shift and SpongeBob keeps doing things "at niiight!" so, here I am, modding Fic Rush, AT NIIIGHT!!

But enough about me. What'd I miss?

My work is messing me around which they normally do but I have a cold/headache at the moment so it’s extra getting to me. I worked until 11pm last night. By the time I get home, eat dinner and get to sleep, it’s normally between 1-2am. So if I know I have an early shift the next day, I set an alarm, if I don’t, I don’t.

So my week thus far, on Thursday I did a late. On Friday I was supposed to do an early so I set my alarm and got up early, went to work and was asked when I got there to go home and come back later to do the close, which I did but I was super knackered from getting up early and as I knew I was on a late today, I set my alarm for 12:30pm and hibernated, which I think is reasonable seeing as as of last night at 11pm, I wasn’t due at work until 2pm.

But of course, I’ve just woken up to a string of missed calls, voicemails and texts because at 8am this morning I got a text saying I’m not doing the late, I’m doing the early.

So now I have to phone them up and apologise for missing the text and explain myself and probably get told off because at this point, the only thing I can do is the late.

Sorry I know that’s not fic related but I needed somewhere to vent before I have to drag myself in with my tail between my legs.

That is some nonsense, sorry you have to deal with that. Like, expecting you to just completely upend your sleep schedule from day to day is horrifying. Best of luck!
