Fic Rush 48

*pets* Never mind...

600 words later (well over 2000 words in total) and the fic I've been working on all day is done. I shall retire to bed in satisfied exhaustion! (Tomorrow will be original fic writing day once my laundry chores are done!)

Still finishing up lunch myself. Some Boy Scouts sold me caramel corn this morning, so I am eyeing it and trying to decide if I want to break it out now or later. No writing at all yet, but I hope to start that next hour.

No, on closer inspection, it appears to be the non-poisoned stuff. Whew.

And yes, I'm chuffed with myself - thanks for pointing me towards this thing because otherwise I doubt I would have spent the bulk of the past 24 hours (RL, eating and sleeping excluded) obsessively pursuing the Bore. Keeping it up afterwards will be the real test, I fear.

Well, at least fic_rush usually happens once a month, so there'll be progress then! (And I'm not sure how much obsessive writing you have to do, before someone needs to force you to go out doors for a bit. :-) Probably as well.)

Haven't looked at it yet. Hopefully I'll look at it before the night is up. Sadly, just looking at it would be a major accomplishment at this point.

Well, I have finally stopped reading books, doing rl stuffs like necessary shopping, watching TV, screen-capping, eating and making icons I can't show to anyone yet. (*sulks* *wants to show them off*) So, now it's pretty much time for bed, I'm actually going to try some writing.

I don't hold out much hope for the Epilogue (or Ch 29 as may be). I might manage a word or two, so here goes!

Now, there's a rash statement. I mean, I could have been writing: "Where's Kennedy?"/ "Oh, he's dead, didn't I say?"* Or a sentence full of typos (more likely), so I feel that's very nice but overly optimistic of you.

*I didn't write this. I plotted to kill several people (or considered it in passing) but it never ever crossed my mind that I should kill the Sergeant. Especially not in passing in the epilogue (which is so long, I hereafter christen in ch 29 + Coda)

The clarification is probably just as well - you never know who's reading on the intrawebs! ;D It probably was overoptimistic of me - you mean there could yet be casualties in the epilogue, just when I thought the survivors had, well, survived?! Yikes!

Well, it all depends on the bit that I keep changing my mind about, although the chances of fatalities are reasonably low at this point. I don't wish to commit myself any further. :-)

(As in, if I don't finish the wretched thing sometime soon I shall blow them all up... :Lol:)
