Round 10 Hour 6

I have been asked about my own writing.  *cough cough*

Well, I finally hope to do some of that this hour!  Today was my first day back at work after being pancaked with the flu for two days.  I had a metric buttload (to use the precise measurement) of computer maintenance to do before I could head home, and groceries to buy en route, as my cupboard was nearly bare.

Now I'm finally settling down to my first goal of the weekend, namely, to finally finish and post the epilogue to that same MacGyver novel I've been working on since my first 'rush weekend, and even before.  I only have about 1000 words still missing, possibily less.  Of course, the missing section is right bang in the middle.

How's everyone else doing?

I am going to bed. It's midnight here. Total words written (sadly, none of them original - but hopefully this will make it easier to write Legend!fic once the characters get over their snit at me): 1,462. Total running time of transcribed scenes: 6 minutes and 6 seconds. I think this is going to take a while.

I would make you avgolemono soup (I've been practicing. Whee.) but some people think it sounds horrid and also I'm too late because you're all better. Flu sucks.

I am done for the night on writing and just winding down for the sleeping portion so I can wake up and do it all again. If I can finish MacCanuck (draft one...!) there will be room in my brain for other things again.

I am actually sad about your epilogue because... story over!! Or I could read it through again once complete. ;)

I think that's the Greek lemony soup, right? Either that, or it's the number of molecules in a mythical Jewish monster.

My favourite soup when sick is miso soup. How are you at that? I'm still convalescent, so soup is still quite welcome.

That one, yes. My co-worker of Greek origin says her dad called it "I'vegottadilemma soup." I can do miso from a packet. You want from a packet?

I might even make a whole other secret surprise account of ff.net just so I can leave second comments. Because that would be...

I'm one of those boring people who just goes for the chicken soup, though strong Tom Ka is a nice chicken alternative too as the ginger about reams out your head. I'll have to try miso next time I'm walloped with germs. Glad you are doing a bit better.

Ginger can be lovely stuff when one is congested. There's a local company that makes the world's most incredible ginger ice cream. Unfortunately, I didn't have any in the freezer when I got sick.

I'm just finishing up typing in all my hand-scribbled edits, now I get to the harder part of trying to expand a couple transitional scenes that are still in the form of little splats and poor stage directions i.e. (Doctor says SOMETHING. Bad guyz behind. Or in front? Both? Introduce accomplice, needs a NAME. Insert NAME into earlier chapter? Is he nice? Not?? Does Ian hear this?)

Yes, parts of this poor thing are still that bad.

Procrastination can be fun. I watched a youtube video of a StarFleet PSA about interspecies relations. That wasted a good 8 minutes of writing time.

Yes, it can be, but it also can be a killer when you have a whole lot of fics you want to get done.
