How goes the creativity?  Who needs a) a cup of tea, b) ten hours of sleep, c) a visitation from the Muse, d) an unabridged copy of the Oxford English Dictionary, or e) a whack upside the head with a herring?

Muse is being stubborn and not talking, need caffine, the dictionary is the wake the muse with, and a red herring for a few of my stories.

The word "Herring" is not in my dictionary.

I need food and booze. Attention has critically wandered, and so is the plot. Heroes are napping. This is not ... uh... yes well. They're so cute, but they haz no blankie.

Maybe we should whack the heroes upside the head with a herring. Then one of them can get you a cup of 'tea', and the other can get you a copy of the OED.

I got myself a Health Freak approved snack (granola and low-fat yogurt, no tofu casserole thx) and a large glass of 'juice'. (Also, with rum.) Now to apply herring to heroes.

Transcribing is sooo much easier than writing. I've got 333 words down, which is equivalent to almost a minute and a half!

(Oy, I'm also compulsively hitting Ctrl+S after every sentence or so - I only do that when transcribing, because I'm flipping back and forth between windows that often. *g*)
