Yes. I just have to make a series of entirely clunky sentences happen so that later I can try to make them slightly less clunky but stuff will have been narrated. ARGH. Why do I write?
Still not feeling the writing. I think I'm going to have a go at scrapbooking - I've got a whole bunch of saved newspaper articles cluttering up the place, and I bought a scrapbook/album type thing before Christmas. Hopefully this will get me out of not-feeling-it mode and into fic-writing mode :(
I haven't written a single word yet today, alas. I was up all night with a stomach bug and then slept half the afternoon away while still feeling pretty shaky. Finally starting to feel normal again, though, so hopefully I'll have something to report next hour.
Staring at a blank computer screen has never worked for me either, and getting your mind engaged in a different creative activitiy sounds like a great strategy. Go, scrapbook, go go go!
Really glad you're starting to feel better! Ease into it, and don't ask too much of your body or your mind. (Psst -- you can still write even after fic_rush is over.)
First rule of scrapbooking: if you're using top-loading plastic protecters for the paper, putting them in the album upside-down and then trying to get the paper out of the top is not going to get you very far!!
First article (local fire company gets Ford Model T pumper that they used in 1921 returned to them).
Discoveries: 1) I need a bigger desk. 2) I'm still as klutzy with a glue stick as I was when I was 5. 3 (more of a affirmation of what I already knew) Cat hair gets bloody EVERYWHERE!!!
4) I'm feeling so much more energised aready!!!! :DDDD
And yes, I hear you about the cat hair. I had to take my cat for a vet check-up recently, and he was so nervous, he was ejecting hair like a porcupine ejecting quills. The poor vet tech kept getting cat hair on the needle she was trying to use to draw blood!
