*is highly entertained at the new entry* - this comm has been taken over by Doctor Who, hasn't it? I'm not complaining though!
Oh, I'll stop chatting now and allow people to go back to writing. I did too! 20 words in the Three and Jo story. I'm waiting til I get to watch the episode to start on the Ten & Eleven story.:P
I'm home and typing some dialogue for Ian and Barbara, they're always such a great pair. Now to figure out just how rough the aliens are going to be with dear old One... not much, I think. :-)
Lucky ducks to get to see Eleven already! I don't have a working TV, but you can bet I'll be scrounging for that ep on youtube at some point later on. Must go make a pot of split pea soup out of a ham-bone now but once the 'feed the family' subroutine is running I'll be back to One.
Planet of the Daleks had such a wonderfully fanwanky moment earlier. The Doctor name-dropped Ian, Barbara and Susan. They were doing it back in the 70s guys! RTD is innocent! :D
Ehm, do you mind if I pick your brain about iplayer?
No? How exactly does the download bit work? I mean do you get to keep it for as long as you want or does it delete after a period of time? *is clueless and annoyed with iplayer*
Just to buck the trend, I've written a Press Gang ficlet for 50ficlets. I might go write another, or my UNIT OC au. (All right, I know the last one is a ridiculous fic to be writing, but there is reason...)
Ah makes sense. Does it still delete if you move the file though? I know with some digital book loans that works. Hmmm... I'll try it again, once my internet behaves properly.
It's only bringing people up for the sake of needless angst that RTD brought in. The Doctor has always been a terrible name-dropper, both of his companions and of random historical figures.
Jo is really one smart cookie underneath that 'I'm cute as a bug, how could I be a danger to anyone?' act. Come to think of it, Three does that too on occasion - no wonder they're so well suited.
"Don't mind us. We're handcuffed to these immovable objects, you know." "You said it, Doctor. Why, I do believe we're even helpless and adorable." "HAI!" "Groovy! Here's the keys!" "Not that we need them anymore." "They should've bought fancier handcuffs. These were easy!"
I think that once I'm done with 50ficlets, I will be having withdrawal symptoms, so it wouldn't surprise me. And I'll want to write something that's not actually Kenny-centric after 50 fics! (Lynda, Ten, crocodiles and angst could be really, really interesting and dark, actually... And there's a comment that makes no sense, I know. Sorry. The crocodiles are metaphorical.) Or a fun S2 crossover with Four, Sarah and Harry wondering into the newsroom. (I'm not thinking about it at all, as you can see.)

Not a word written. *facepalm*
