I actually opened up my fic and started getting to work. I know some of you are writing, some of you are reading fic. How is this hour treating everyone?
I've been some more Christmas knitting, and I just defaulted from Yuletide. I'm quite annoyed with myself, but with everything else going on, it was just adding stress and I'm at the point where fandom isn't worth making my health worse.
I'm going to get a cup of tea. That helps with everything.
Well, I've showered! And while in the shower, I had a wonderful idea of where I want the fic I'm not supposed to be working on to go. Close enough to productivity to me!
And now, to tell people about my life for a few hours. Be back soon, fic_rush!
I'm up and caffeinated and dressed and fed. Now I have to haul boxes back and forth. But I got almost 500 words added to one ficlet last night, and a couple hundred to another the night before, and maybe more will come later today!!
I finished up a fic I started a day or so ago and got it posted, which is the most creative I've been in days so I'm calling that one a win, even if it was a tiny fic :)
Oh and I got my Christmas list done which involved a lot of looking for things I want but probably won't get due to the fact my sister wanted as long a list as possible so it would still be a surprise...
Oh, that's really cool! I can't knit, but I wish I could. I just don't have the patience to pick up a new hobby. I still have a cross-stitch sample I should work on.
I do mine in alphabetical because otherwise they can tell what I really want and if they think I'd expect it, they won't buy it. Hence the epically long list. It's really hard being the only control freak in a family that just love ~surprises D:
The default button wouldn't exist if defaulting wasn't something that many people have to do, for all sorts of valid reasons. Don't feel bad; you made a good decision (your health is way more important than fandom), and you defaulted before the deadline, which means there's enough time for the Yuletide mods to get your recipient covered.
Thanks. :) I know what you mean about the lack of patience, I would love to learn to sew properly but it's not going any time soon. Oooh cross-stitch! What is your sampler like?
Yeah, my brain knows that, but the weasels say otherwise. :( I am feeling a lot less stressed so it was the right decision. I might try and write a treat though once work finishes.
This is a side-community for fic_rush, where we post our hourly posts during rounds. If you've wandered in here by accident, you'll want to go there instead.
If you're with fic_rush and have just shown up, look for most recent hourly post.

Date: 2013-12-15 04:56 pm (UTC)Oh, Christmas lists. When I was younger, I would put about a hundred things on my list. Ranked by how much I wanted each thing. I love making lists.
