Well, depending on whether or not you've accounted for daylight savings time, fic_rush starts in either half an hour or an hour and a half. (For the record, we operate on GMT.) I'm making this post now, so it's here when anyone wanders in. This hour is more of an "hour". Don't panic.

This is the post for hour 1 of fic_rush round 1. Greetings/introductions to yourself and your fic, goals for the next hour, and anything else you think might be relevant should go here. I encourage you to reply to each other's posts.

Hi! I'll go first, then. I'm a Doctor Who (and occasionally Playstation-era Final Fantasy) author. First thing I plan to do is finish a one-off called "Doctor Who and the Planet of the Cliffhangers." Then, because it's crap (I let a plot, an actual plot, get in the way of the crack value), I might rewrite it later. :P But I want it done.

I plan to get very little done this first "hour". I'll be lurking here to say hi to people as they come in, and then I'll be eating pizza. After that I'll get down to business, promise.

Hello all, your other mod here. I'm also a Doctor Who fan, but haven't really written much. I did find a TARDIS centric WIP on my computer though that I will try to finish. It's 1am here, so I'll probably just stay for another hour or two, and then I'll be back when my mod shift starts. Good luck us all!

Well...I'm on GMT and its after midnight here...(so I'll probably be a bit quiet for the next few hours due to getting some sleep).

My fic goals for this weekend include a story for another ficathon (due Monday, yikes), a half written Dr Who epic, and random Being Human story, a Back to the Future prompt. Chances of me finishing all of those = slim but I'm sort of using this as a finishathon thing... I'm off to bed but will try and produce an arbiturable beforehand.

(Arbiturable! The movement is growing! Now if the three of us would just pick one spelling instead of three different ones.... :P )

The weirdness in times is because people who consider themselves to be on GMT are actually on GMT minus daylight savings time right now. So I opened this up "early" so nobody would show up at midnight and wonder where the ficathon got to, but it will be open until 1AM your time monday morning.

I for one am grateful for daylight savings as without it this morning's sunshine would have woken me up at 5am rather than 6am...but it does make calculating the time difference that bit further.

(Arbiturable! (Ninth Doctor): It was an entirely arbitrary figure. So much had happened to him over the centuries, dying on eight occasions being the least of it. He’d survived countless wars, and as many injuries. Saved myriad civilisations and almost as many lost souls. Lost huge chunks of his memory for causes both good and bad.
