Hey-a! Almost forgot about this in the midst of everything, but I'm here! Looking to work on a longer Legend of Dragoon piece this time, along with prompts from HalfMoon.

Another writer joins us!

I think I've got most of the weekend covered, though you could repeat your offer to glinda_penguin and lullabymoon when they turn up. Though I could use someone to make the two posts after the next one (hours 8 and 9) so that I can get to bed a bit earlier. Then glinda_penguin should show up around hour 10 to take over.

I had to stop for dinner. I'm currently pondering a segue.

I don't know if anyone else ever does this -- I hit a point in the story, and it's a speed bump. Or a roadblock. I know what's going to be going on five minutes later (or an hour, or next day), but I can't get there from here. What I sometimes do is leave myself a note saying, for example, "insert brilliant conversation-ending exit line here" and jump ahead to the part I'm sure of. Later on, I go back and fill in the missing line or paragraph or section, and it's usually come unstuck by then.

Does anyone else do that?

I've done that. Oddly enough, only with shortfic. Longfic (which I never finish anyway) I tend to do in order, with notes only for stuff after where I am.

It's a lot better to keep writing than to attempt to write in order.

That... is exactly what happened to the Winner By a Nose Affair. I got Illya all dressed up, realized I'd totally derail myself and never publish at all if I tried to write the party right then, and skipped ahead to the "what happened after" scene.

And now it's happened again - only this time, it's just because I'm so pleased with the way I wrapped the kissing scene up that I can't figure out what to do next!

(Not that I should even be writing WbaN when Clocket's waiting for her help_haiti fic... *eyeroll*)
