The 3K rule I came up at the start of this round of fic rush is actually turning out a good idea: I have 1 500 words now, so I'm half way through and it feels like a real accomplishment - and I haven't trailed off to pointless details/random plot threads/endless dialogue because when you only have 3K, you start to keep a closer eye where you waste your words. This could work, there is hope getting a bingo!
