Roun 29, Hour 17

Maybe we could do this round robin thing. One person starts the story and the others continue, one or two lines at a time. It will help us share the words.
I'll start:

Once upon a time, there was a giraffe. Not a nasty giraffe, full of spots and antennae, but a bonsai giraffe, who lived on a bonsai banana boat.

She was a happy giraffe, as happy as giraffe could be when living on a bonsai banana boat on her own. She loved bananas, and little leafy plants with tiny white flowers, but sometimes she wondered what would it be to live somewhere else than on a bonsai banana boat.

And then one day - disaster! There was a storm. The boat was carried away. And after the storm, when the bonsai giraffe opened her eyes...

She found that she had been washed up onto an iceberg, where she was looking up at a fearsome ninja penguin, who...

was eating a cold sardine sandwich. The penguin considered the matter for a moment, but it wasn't every day you find bonsai giraffes washed up to your iceberg. She decided to be a good host, and offered the sandwich to the giraffe.
"Would you like some? I only took one bite you see," she said.
Giraffe stared at the sandwich...

was eating pizza.

"How did you find pizza on an iceberg, O Ninja Penguin?" she asked.

It could be multiple choice! Or maybe a choose your own adventure thing, only without laundry or MacGyver.

She was hungry, so, so hungry... but it looked like a cold sardine sandwich, and she detested sardines. Especially in sandwiches.

She thought about it some more and was about to risk the fish over starvation (thinking it would be rude to ask for banana leaves), when...

... and ate the Ninja Penguin. It was much tastier than a cold sardine sandwich! The giraffe congratulated herself for her wise decision.

Hee. It could be. I don't think my brain is up to more than one timeline.

It must be time for dinner - everyone's thinking about food!!

Giraffe stared at the sandwich. Unnerved, the penguin offered a slice of pizza instead.

"How did you find pizza on an iceberg, O Ninja Penguin?" the giraffe asked.

"There's a funny box over there that's full of all kinds of things! Including things to eat! And it's glowing!" said the penguin cheerfully.

"Is the box blue?" the giraffe asked suspiciously.

"No, purple. Why?"

"Well . . . it's a bit hard to explain, but I'll try. You see, . . .

A nice try, but now there are three separate timelines, and at least two of them are incompatable...

:lol: (It's fic_rush! What else do people expect. Multiple timelines come naturally to us.)
