I always lie to myself about how long fic will take me to write. Or maybe it's my muse who's lying to me. It's hard to tell. Muses are even more slippery than wet ninja penguins with glowsticks made out of alien fish.

I will bet, though, that you are farther along on your fic than you used to be. So, congrats! And keep going!

I am all but maniacal. I think I've written enough words to go to sleep with a sense of accomplishment. Huzzah!

(If only I hadn't neglected 3 stories in favour of huge progress on story #4... ah, well, that's me - always seeing the cloud in the clear sky, or however that phrase thingie goes).

Yay for all the maniacal writing! And to be honest, I think you would have made a lot less progress if you'd tried to split your writing up between stories instead of concentrating on one, especially as it was one that was obviously ready and willing to be worked on. Willing fics are much, much easier to wrangle than unwilling fics, even in maniacal everything_rush.
