Time for a food break. It's technically my breakfast, but it's 1 pm, so I think some writerly pasta sounds like an excellent idea. :-)

I think I shall go and have writerly pasta too. Or something. I am doing very well at Googling things for other people (a state-park map and a vinyl-siding-removal tool in the last five minutes), but not so well at writing.

Now I am apparently going on a shopping trip to buy leaky-window-fixing tools and supplies, with probably a side trip to return some unsatisfactory noise-cancelling earphones. :-( Then I shall be sent up a ladder to look for leaks in a roof, and sometime today I also have to find time to caulk a crack in the porch floor (which is the ceiling of the former coal-cellar I have co-opted for a bedroom).

Home repair goes on forever, I think, if you once let it get hold of you. o_O
