Ah! I've become a bit of a Buchan / Hannay fan of late. I watched The Thirty Nine Steps (with Robert Powell), read the book (and the other Hannay books), and watched the Hannay TV series.

I am doing some fic research right now, but hoping to be writing again in the next hour.

Indeed it is coffee time. And I am baking a vegan gluten free apple cake, which is almost the same as writing.

I just adored Greenmantle. All of the Hannay novels are great; but you have to filter for colonial obnoxiousness in a big way.

Still no words that are worth anything. Gonna try again today. I have two articles, three big bangs, an assignment and several challenges that I can work on, and still no words are forthcoming. Nothing. Zip. Nada. *grumbles* I've been letting the muse pick the project, but apparently she has decided that this is a vacation weekend.

*sigh* With all that going on, I so hope I get some words in today!!
