203 somewhat disconnected words - I'm hoping that in addition to constructing criticism, the reviewers from the future might let slip a few clues as to what it was I actually wrote. Then I'll be able to plagiarise myself, thus saving unnecessary keyboard angst. And it wouldn't even be wrong...would it?

I just got back to my desk from morning work-out. I decided to do 'research' by watching some clips of the duo I'm writing about, real quick, just to make sure my language usage and voice was down. I immediately stumbled across a clip of a Comic Con panel where they were busy vehemently denying that anything you read about them in fan-fiction is true. "Sometimes partners share things!"

Which is fine by me because I'm not slashing them, they're totally bros, but it cracked my ass up.

Oh, that's the whole point of having an alpha reader! They can read the fic before it's even been written and let us know what didn't work, thereby saving much time. With the resulting vast savings in Time, we can then prime the Time Pump with fresh FTL neutrinos and start the process all over again!

The basic premise is so goofy, but the writers know it. We* were discussing how cop shows (except British procedurals) are just horrible about the rules of evidence. Anything an author tagging along with the cops found by snooping in someone's bathroom cupboard would probably be inadmissible, but Nathan Fillion is very charming, and Kata Stanic is gorgeous and tough, so it works for me!
