Round 21, Hour 1

Hello, and welcome to Round 21 of fic_rush! I'm dbskyler, filling in for the fantabulous lolmac, who is home recuperating from a recent illness. She will hopefully be joining the 'rush later as she feels up to it.

So, gather 'round, introduce yourselves, and tell us what you plan to write this weekend! Or predict what you'll actually be doing when those writing plans go awry. We're pretty easy-going.

I have a plan. This rush's plan is as follows: get some fanfic written and if I need breaks from that, work on the original fic. This plan is a reverse of my usual and recognizes that I'm feeling pretty low energy, and also that I have a couple of pieces of fic to just plain finish.

To warm up I'm going to write a one-shot about two secondary characters in a fandom I've never written: cop buddies Ryan and Esposito in Castle.

Hi! This is me! I'm not actually going to be starting until tomorrow morning (mountain time, so probably in about 14 hours), but I thought I'd drop a line here since I didn't see a sign up post. I'm about to go to a Styx concert and won't be back until probably after midnight.

In the thirty six hours that follow, however, I'd like to write either one or two angst bingo fills, get at least 2 of kink bingo fills done, and start my big bang for Crimeland.

Most of this will be Criminal Minds fic, and most of it will be angsty (even the kink bingo stuff).

Apparently I was already a member of fic_rush, but I don't remember ever seeing the comm before today. Oh well, I'm here now! And ever so thankful too.

I have 16 bigbangs to write this year. XD I know, right? The one I'm currently working on is kink_bigbang, so that's a goal for now. I also want to bingo out my kink bingo card and get some oneshots written for my various prompt tables too.

And the angst_bingo hiatus challenge, which has been nagging at me for some time.

This weekend I plan to finish editing my het_bigbang fic cause it's due on Sunday (cross your fingers I hear from my beta today) then I need to write at least 5000 words for my smallvillebbang and I need to do all this before 3pm tomorrow afternoon. Oh god :(

Wow, first hour post, I knew there must be one but I have never seen it :D I'm also working with a kink bingo fic (hello fellow bingoers!) - it is almost over, no, how did it go by so fast? And also, I have a ficathon fic to finish this weekend. Since I can't seem to sleep, why not write?

This is my second time, and I had a blast on the first go-round, so I'm back for more.

I have a Sentinel AU big bang to polish up(the rough draft was submitted, but I've got a scene to add and editing and revising to do before I send it to my beta.)

If I have time then I'd like to get my posts for some big bangs written out and posted to my Lj on private. Last year when I posted it took me forever to get the coding right.

Then, if I still have time, I'm going to work on my long term Sentinel WIP. I'm fairly close to finishing it, maybe five or six more chapters.

Actually, there is no way to do them wrong, really. : ) We'll be here, posting on the hour, every hour over the next two days, and you can drop in and out as you like, telling us how the writing is going (or not going).

::ducks:: Yep, that's the one. I don't know how much you read, but the first two arcs are done, and the third one has two chapters posted(out of probably sixteen to eighteen). My lovely and insightful beta has chapter three, but we don't rush things. I've got the rough draft for Comes a Time (the third arc) completed up through chapter twelve. I am going to finish it, I haven't lost the mojo or anything.

I don't blame anyone for wanting to wait. Reading a WIP is a crap shoot.

Hooray for the first hour!!!!!!! It's been a pretty awesome hour so far. Except for the fact that I couldn't tag this post, as I don't have authorization to add new tags. Oh well. This shall henceforth be known as tagless round 21!

That and mostly it was so rich and emotionally affecting that I'm dodging it until I can read it in one fell swoop. Please tell me there's a happy ending! (You don't have to tell me that.)

Hopefully I'll have them done. So far I've finished three. AU, RPF, and zombiebang. (Well, i have a few more scenes to finish in zombie, but it's mostly done. That is also a goal for the next 48.)
