Round 18, Hour 45

The end is in sight!  We have only a few more hours before fic_rush ends (this month, anyway).  But much can be done in four hours.

Will there be writing?  Editing?  Posting?  Research?  "Research"?  Sudden blinding flashes of inspiration?  Visitations from the muse?  Unforeseen attacks by ninja aardvarks?  Easily foreseen attacks by time-traveling singing penguins?

Only time will tell.  Tell, time.  Tell!

I am going to be moderately productive and kill two birds with one stone by writing a longish essay-like post for the makeup blog I co-author. I am hoping that will kick me into gear for some creative writing in the hours following that. I have a plot hole to fix with chewing gum and a couple of paperclips over in the Due South/MacGyver crossover. And then I have to figure out how it ends. Oops.

Have some of my crack squad of ninja aardvarks to ward off penguins. (I have told them on no account to let themselves be bribed by promises of cookies. All the cookies have now been sent forward in time to Hour 48 to reward all remaining fic rushers.)

Due South/MacGyver crossover?? *dies*

Yes. With fresh-faced pre-Chicago baby Mountie and slightly more jaded DSX/working vacation MacGyver. It seemed like a natural cross. It's taking forever to write due to writer's block and other Terribly Serious projects, but we're sort of kicking around the denouement so it will be on the internet within the next month or so.
