Welcome to the Round of the Beast!  Or possibly the Wee Round of the Wee Beast.  Have you any wee beasts?  We have geckos.  Teeny tiny cute little baby geckos, which get into the house and we have to try to put them outside because they can't find enough food or water to make it indoors.

If you have no wee beasts, and even if you do, have you any wee words?  Or grand words?  Or sequipedalian swords?

I spent several lovely hours in the company of my good friend today. Our talks have generated in me a renewed desire to brush up my old fics, perhaps toy with the idea of writing something... (omg)... new?

It has been so long since the idea of the memory of a desire to write has been with me... I must say, it is a lovely feeling. And here at Fic_Rush, where creativity is born, tickled, and flowers, I hope I can nurture it.

Posting some dusty old Darkelf stories to AO3. Hoping to edit some of the archaic language out which has annoyed some of my dear friends, without eliminating it at all. Let's face it, folks, Elves speak old! lol

I know this stuff will leave my MacGyver and Stargate friends feeling a bit dry, so know that I don't expect piles of kudos or hits. Mostly I want to save these stories in another archive, in case the ol' scrapbook gets, well, scrapped.

Next, I am going to scrap a square of dark chocolate. Treat!

Hello 'Rushers, I'll be your host for the next few hours!

Today I bought some new pencils, all fancy ones with breakproof lead. The package doesn't promise anything about writing inspiration following this lead thing, but fingers crossed!

Sharp pencil fresh out of package and a new notebook are my two favorite writerly things. Plus coffee and some inspiration, of course!

I should start working on some boring course homework about marketing, but instead I'm brainstorming fic ideas for my bingo card. How is everyone else doing? Any fun writing things happening, or some bangs, fests or challenges you are taking part in?

Excellent topic for the writerly types, pens. Good topic for those curious drawing enthusiasts too! I can't draw one bit, and it's sometimes questionable if I can write either. But I think practice helps with both skills, don't you?
