And here we come to the end of my time here. My last Hour of Usurpation before I sleep the sleep of the semi-just (I did research!!! Kinda!!) and consign this Rush to the hands of those less sleepy - or to the Void (may it be ever vast!). I was writing it in between other things, noodling over it in the background, then adding a sentence. Didn't know what I was going to write when I started it, but that's usually the case.

Sounds very similar to how I write. There are times when I have a vague idea that tries to solidify inti an IDEA, but then while writing my characters usually blow that up for me, lol!

I mostly leave everything up to my characters. They can usually figure things out, they're quite experienced by now ;)

LOL!! Alas, my characters all know better than me (by a long shot), but being a consummate control freak, it winds up as a tussle before they win in the end.

I tried to control mine to start with, but they're very stubborn so I find it less stressful to just let them do what they want. It's very entertaining. ;)

All my boys are capable of doing silly things. Sometimes I wonder if they're really such terrible klutzes or if they just like entertaining me...

Probably, although I do have a bad habit of doing awful things to Ianto. Last time I turned him into a fluffy pink duck, poor boy.

LOL!! When I saw 'doing awful things to Ianto', I must say, my mind did NOT leap to pink fluffy ducks - so kudos to you for that one!

Well, I did turn his hands into bunches of bananas, turned him grey all over, made him glow in the dark, magnetised both him and Jack so they were stuck together, and not in the fun way, and I gave him literal eyes in the back of his head, which was less than fun for him. It's not all pink fluffy ducks at the
Fluff Emporium. I've killed him a few times too, but I always bring him back. And then there was the time with the evil socks...

OMG, lol!! I love this!! Poor Ianto...the sheer litany and breadth and depth of imagination in what this poor guy goes through is rather magnificent and boggling. :D

And there's many more where that came from. He even got stalked by a crack!

I love Torchwood for the fact that the most bizarre ideas can seem plausible if you just say 'alien tech'. *grins* They all go through hell at my hands. Jack's been a plant, a starfish, a dog, switched bodies with a cow, and sprouted tentacles. Recently I turned Owen into a giant pink slug, and he's been a pony and a rag doll. I've shrunk Gwen, and turned her into a Barbie doll. Tosh usually gets off lightly since I need her to fix everyone else, but I've de-aged her a couple of times, and everyone's been turned into little green aliens... Something that upset Jack worst of all because he lost certain parts of his anatomy ;)

That is what makes TW so much fun! And it sounds like you have definitely had loads of fun. :D And I love the descriptions of what all you have put these guys through! Sounds like harmless, fixable fun (and of COURSE Tosh would have to be left mostly unharmed...the genius ALWAYS has to fix everything. :D)

Tosh does her best, but sometimes she can't fix things by herself and needs help. Ianto does his best, and there's always the Doctor in an emergency.
