So now that I'm done procrastinating on youtube, I'm going to get back to (re-)plotting the unwritten parts of my fic. (I write much faster when I know where I'm going.) I need more twists. And a good character bombshell or two.
...Anyone have any suitably dark theories about River Song they'd like to see stolen and integrated into someone else's WIP?
I have 22 new words written! Although I'm also second-guessing other words that are already there. But I'll let them be for now so I can hopefully get out of my negative word count by the end of the hour.
I just wrote 400-odd words of nonfiction on a paper for English class, so I'm not sure how much fic writing I'll get done - but I'm starting on a sort of "pseudo-Yuletide" project.
The idea is, I'll use the Yuletide time limits and word limit, but work on a long-overdue story prompt from the Help_Haiti ficathon last January. I only offered 300-500 words for that ficathon, so if I miss the Yuletide word minimum, no harm no foul... and hopefully I'll find out whether I think I can handle proper!Yuletide next year. (I've always shied off from ficathons with word minima because I'm a drabbler/vignettist by habit.)
Well, I am convinced that Alex Kingston thinks River is Mrs Doctor, and also that Steven Moffat has secretly decided she isn't. Beyond that... naah, really I've got nothing.
I was planning to do a similar thing for NaNo, except my plan was to work on a fic, not an original piece. Why on earth didn't I think of doing that with Yuletide (which, by the way, as studyofrunning mentioned above is a brilliant idea) instead? It would probably have been a much more achievable goal.
This is a side-community for fic_rush, where we post our hourly posts during rounds. If you've wandered in here by accident, you'll want to go there instead.
If you're with fic_rush and have just shown up, look for most recent hourly post.
